How to Connect Canva

1. Open Integration Settings

Go to Settings → Integrations → Canva in the left navigation.

2. Authorize Your Canva Account

Click Connect Canva. You'll be redirected to Canva to sign in and authorize ClubText to access your designs. Grant the requested permissions to complete the connection.

3. Verify the Connection

Once authorized, the integration status shows as connected. Your Canva designs are now available when browsing the Asset Library or attaching files to messages.

4. Import Designs

In the Asset Library, choose Import from Canva and select the designs you want. Imported designs are saved to your library for reuse in future campaigns.

Getting It Right on Mobile

Supported Design Types for MMS

Canva designs sent as MMS should be exported in a format built for mobile messaging:

  • Images (PNG, JPG) — the most widely supported formats. Use these for flyers, promotional graphics, and event announcements.
  • PDFs — supported for document-style content such as menus, schedules, and multi-page handouts.

File Size & Format Recommendations

  • Maximum file size — keep MMS attachments under 600 KB for reliable delivery across all carriers. Larger files may be compressed or rejected.
  • Image dimensions — design at 1080 × 1080 px or 1080 × 1920 px for the best display on phones.
  • Format — PNG for graphics with text or transparency, JPG for photos. Avoid GIFs and video in MMS unless your plan supports them.
  • Canva export settings — choose PNG or JPG and a quality level that keeps the file under the size limit.

  • Keep file sizes reasonable for mobile delivery, especially for MMS.
  • Use consistent branding in Canva so imported assets match the rest of your communications.
  • Preview on a phone before sending to be sure text is legible and images render clearly at a small size.

The integration works with both free and paid Canva accounts. However, designs that use premium Canva elements may require a Canva Pro subscription to export.
No. Imported designs are a snapshot at the time of import. If you update a design in Canva, re-import it to the Asset Library to use the updated version.
